My 15+ years’ marketing experience includes increasing brand exposure and revenue for B2B and B2C businesses in a variety of industries — startups, software (SaaS), technology, resorts and attractions, banking and finance, real estate, professional services, food and beverage, consumer products, and education.
I was born in Denver, Colorado and continue to make the Mile High City my home.
I’ve always been a very creative person. And I’m pretty competitive — with others and with myself. I get a lot of fulfillment from strategizing a plan, streamlining processes, coming in under budget, and of course, making it look good. As a professional, I believe in a job well done, transparency, and a strong work ethic.
One of my strongest personal characteristics is my passion for social justice. When given the chance to use my professional skills to improve the lives of others, I gain immense satisfaction.
In 2008 and 2009, I volunteered to write a business and marketing plan for the Women’s Bean Project, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help women break the cycle of poverty and unemployment by teaching job preparedness and interpersonal skills to function independently in the workplace and community. The project afforded me the opportunity to put my skills to work helping to change the lives of women in the community, and the lives of their children.
In 2010, I had the opportunity to work for an educational software developer, whose mission it is to help improve outcomes for students with autism. I took great pleasure in using my skills to impact an underserved segment of our population and give them a ‘voice’.
From 2013 to 2016, I was the Online Marketing Manager for TrackVia, a Denver-based SaaS startup. My proudest accomplishment at TrackVia was directing and executing the development of a new website in 45 days, using an entirely new go-to-market strategy, messaging and keywords. I saved the company an estimated $50,000 and months worth of development with my own in-house development and design.
I am now the President of Lumen Marketing & Communications, a Denver-based agency that specializes in inbound marketing, websites and creative. We help clients generate demand, attract better leads, engage more effectively, and increase qualified sales opportunities that lead to measurable revenue.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing in the dirt (a.k.a. gardening), all things creative, cycling, volunteering in the community, travel and spending time with friends. I also stay active playing with my eight-year-old boxer, Ruby, and participating in 5K/10K events. I’m a self-described ‘foodie’ and I love to cook. My favorite color is red, I love studying politics and I am an ardent fan of 80s hair bands.
